THE CAMP
What will happen at The OCD Camp (UK)?
The camp’s primary mission is to allow people with OCD to meet others with OCD, challenge themselves through fun activities and connect with nature away from the distractions of everyday life.
The camp will include multiple fun activities, as well as survival based activities, time to connect, share stories and support fellow campers, and develop mental well-being practices.
Where is it?
The campgrounds are based just South West of London in the county of Surrey. The camp is easily accessible via motorway, and pretty accessible by train.
When is it?
Camp dates vary each year. But usually around May or June.
The cost?
The cost for the 3 days and 2 nights is £350.
What does that include?
- Camping for the 2 nights
- All food and drinks
- Multiple activities (skill, team building and even one to get the heart racing)
- Trained camping staff
- Two trained therapists
What would I need to bring?
The camp has been set up so that you will only need to bring the basic essentials such as sleeping bag, comfortable clothes etc. Full kit list will be shared nearer the time.
Is it for me?
The OCD Camp is for everyone who has OCD and is over 18 years of age (and currently lives in the UK). For US and other countries please check out Camp DCO).
Please note:
The camp is not therapy or a replacement for therapy. A therapist will be present, however the purpose of the camp is to provide support, connection and time in nature. To understand what the camp entails more, listen to the podcast we did with the 2018 campers here
How do I apply?
Applications are now closed for 2023. Please check back in January 2024 for 2024 dates. Thanks for your interest.
